Creative Networker Coaching People in using Social Media Christer is International Child Art Foundation Country Partner Sweden
I got a great insight today about the difference between education and learning when discussing the usage of Klout. Some people who are working within Social media believes education is more important while others are focused on learning.
There are some people who dislike when people are repeating the same message over and over only with some new names. What they don’t know is that there is a human behind each of of those Thank you or Mentioning or Re-Tweet who really likes to be recognized. They are Learning by Doing and see how others are Doing!
What I mean with learning is that you can practice something while education is something you can put on a piece of paper and show but has seldom a value. See “Difference between learning and education” which explains the difference very well.
Since my background is primarily school of life I feel very close to Pink Floyd’s, “Another brick in the wall” and it feels suitable here. But I have to add that I like well educated people who have learned to use their knowledge wisely.
I became recently a Certified Networker after being trained by Referrals for Life but this means nothing if not practised daily with a purpose.
Referrals for Life
Networking is for me every action for increasing an opportunity to help someone else to fulfill a need and it’s on a personal level. It can be economic, human or for the environment. Rotary is my first choice of network since they where first and is still the largest business network in the world with 1 200 000 members.
Rotary International
I am looking for synergies between people and the networks they belong to. Most people are involved in organizations as Rotary, BNI, Lion’s, Red Cross, Chambers of Commerce, UN, EU or ASEAN based on interests and/or regions of living.
Many organizations are religious or political which is great when they collaborate and are open for peoples needs without excluding anyone. Unfortunately is this not so common and it seems as they are driven from an ego perspective instead.
To really make a difference in the world and be able to help someone else is it my strong belief that Knowledge is the King,Values the Queen and Communication is their Child.
Take care of our children is where we have to start for creating a positive change this is why the International Child Art Foundation is so important. We are working with stimulating and nurturing children’s creativity and empathy since they are our future leaders.
To nurture creativity and develop empathy
Do you feel you have an impact on the organisation you are networking in or that you are only a brick in the game fulfilling someone else need?
I showed them also the Facebook group Kim Garst started and I learn so much from. There are a lot of amazing people in the group and you can visit Pinterest to find their pages.
The next meeting was a start up for Referrals for Life the Certified Networker Programme I have joined for creating more business to my customers.
We are 21 persons who will be trained during 10 weeks. The 5 hours I spent today is the most efficient networking hours so far and I am looking forward to the next meeting.
The programme is created from BNI’s (Business Network International) most successful teams and how they are networking with Referral Marketing.
Our team consists of professional networkers who are dedicated to be the best and this is exactly what I mean with collaborate with the most inspiring people.
Coompanion, Bridget Wedberg for your referral to Coop who hired me as an inspirational creativity coach.
BNI Royal Haga, Business Network International (BNI) all members in my team are outstanding and you really follow “givers gain”. A special thanks to Mette Bungerfeldt, Qualitas who has given me some great referrals and also opened your office to run a workshop in social media.
Orjala Consulting, Patric Orjala is a licenced coaching certificator at ICC and we have just started up an interesting collaboration related to a Social media strategy.
Addhuman, Mats Hagelin and Britta Lundkvist who work with Mindfullness and hired me to get some advice related to creating a social media strategy.
ValuesOnline Leadership Centre, Bobby Forshell for your introduction to a work with leadership and values. Our collaboration will have an impact on many levels and this is something I am really looking forward to deepen. It was Bobby who introduced me to Edward de Bono’s, Six Thinking Hats and Lateral Thinking in the 90′s.
Arbetslivsresurs, Johan Bittner who hired me for inspiring unemployed to creative networking twice this year. I love to interact with an audience who cares about their future.
Spring Magic Life who introduced me to write in her book about my dreams and how I am working with fulfilling them. Spring has also introduced me to join her mastermind group and we have virtual meetings using Social media. “Everybody can make a change in the world and there are always something good we can do for ourselves and others. If you feel and see something which you have passion for just go for it and follow your heart and act with Love.”
Kim Garst for your friendship and invitation to your amazing group with social media experts who I am collaborating with and learn from on a daily basis.
ESBRI Entrepreneurship and Small Business Research Institute. I was invited to talk about Open Innovation and my work with inspiring and encouraging the citizens in Hallstavik to collaborate on an idea forum. This link is to video only in Swedish and I talk about in part 2 after 26 min.
Niketo, Kerstin Eriksson for interesting discussions about new opportunities and collaboration.
New opportunities and collaborations in 2012
There are no limits and every day has a new opportunity. What do You dream about and do you want to join me on this amazing journey where there are no limits except our imagination?
It’s frustrating to talk about how to use new tools in Social media while I am spending several hours without working smarter. It’s great with links between Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ with help of a Publish Sync app. But this is not enough for keeping track of the flow and reply within fair time.
Here are some tools that I am using and testing for improved collaboration. The feeling of schizophrenia and that I have to clone myself by dividing time between LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Klout and now also Empire Avenue is something which have occupied my creative mind for a while.
I want to be a part of proactive discussions between the social media experts.
It’s also very important to know the customers needs for using Social media. There can be new opportunities but only if we communicate the benefits and provide with some good examples about how to work with at least the three most common tools as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter at the same time.
Yoono a quick overview of a tool which is very easy to start using…
Hootsuite is an excellent tool with several options for analyze and control. You can add apps. for following your top contributors etc. and create reports.
I joined Empire Avenue yesterday and have spent some hours to test how it works.
The purpose is to increase your network by buying and sell shares in people based on their interest and presence in social media. There is a chat and you can easily recommend and endorse people etc.
But the best is it has almost all of the common social media tools as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter and they are reachable while networking.
My approach was to use intuition and creativity instead of thinking, reading and searching for how to do. This have paid off and I am honored to be listed on the EAv Hot Stocks for 12-27-11! Check it out:http://tinyurl.com/7qe8prt
I search for students and schools with students approx. 13-14 years who wants to collaborate with students in Sweden on a Grouply forum. The forum is for stimulating the childrens creativity and empathy and was created as an activity for The World Children’s Festival in Washington DC 17-19:th of June.
We are using Skype and virtual spaces might also be used for international and fun collaboration between the students. I have been working voluntary almost 2 years with lectures and workshops in creativity and social media.
Please contact me if you are interested and want to discuss how we can start up a creative exchange between the schools. All comments are appreciated.
I have recently joined a social media Facebook group created by Kim Garst which is absolutely amazing. All members are so helpful and encourage each other in an outstanding way.
The atmosphere and attitude among the members reminds me about givers gain as BNI (Business Network International) and service above self as Rotary. I know most of them are extremely occupied but they spend several hours for helping and supporting each other.
When working with social media is there always something new to learn and you have to be very open minded for getting new impressions and adopt new tools. It’s therefore important to be creative and search for optimal solutions and contribute with your knowledge.
This group of people was exactly what I have been searching for since I left IBM and re-launched my company. We cover several branches and a lot of countries which gives our team a unique strength to come up with the best creative solutions for our customers.
What is so fantastic is that everybody care about values, environment and creation of a sustainable society. There are some outstanding coaches and relationship builders and business people with several years experiences.
I was creating this posting yesterday and didn’t finish it, but when starting up today there was something new in Google+ from a former colleague I wanted to share. Luis Suarez mentioned IBM and Twitter collaboration which is interesting for me as a former IBM employee and IBM Business Partner.
