Why do you want to use Social media?

Do you ask yourself Why using Social media?

Do you want to make new friends, do business, get a job or whatever your reason are is this essential to ask yourself.

You need to know your values, be authentic, genuine and transparent since it’s meeting with real people and if you loose yourself it will get out of your control.

If you are really serious about using Social media and building your Personal Brand and making business you need to invest some money.

Kim Garst who I have been following for a while in the You Can Do Facebook group. Kim is on Forbes top 50 list for influential Social media people and She explains why and how you can go further. Watch and listen carefully to her story.

I use social media for making friends, business, learning and leading people.

My vision is to help our children, sick, elderly and future generations and my mission is to collaborate with creative and inspiring people.

Some examples of learning & leading this week and my next week planning:

Know Your Values and Vision before using Social media

Do you know Your Values and Vision?

One of todays biggest challenges is to be authenthic and genuine and don’t play around in Social media without knowing Why you should be there.

I have been working with Social media over 15 years educating people in using tools for collaboration and leading teams. I left IBM in 2010 and re-launched my own company with focus on creativity, values and social media.

If you want to know your values and visions I recommend ValuesOnLine which is a tool to help you to find your own. It’s an OnLine questionnary where you reply during 1 – 1 ½ hour. It’s used by leading companies all over the world and a part of the Swedish Scout training for their youth leaders.

I will get the result and share with you during a face 2 face or Skype session lasting about 2 hrs. I am doing this in my role as a ValuesOnline facilitator.

Read more about ValuesOnLine and book a session with me. I have one seat for free but only if you book within 24 hours. The investment are normally approx. 75 USD for the Ranking questionnary and 360 USD for the personal session.

YES I want to Book for Free Now!

Social media is about Values and Visions

Social media is HOT and many people want to know the “How to”. I am still questioning the Why since most people don’t understand it’s a paradigm shift and we cannot continue to work as before and only add Social media on top.

To start using Social media is about going into the public space and that’s why I am talking about values and visions as the most important before even think about being in a public space for business. You need to be authentic and genuine on a personal level. There are no work arounds!

I am offering 2 seats, only 1 left for free to go through your values and vision together with me. You start the journey with an OnLine tool and reply on questions during approx. 1 ½ hour. The result will then be shared with you during a Skype session or face 2 face meeting and everything is based on your own story. My role is only to facilitate your process.

You can reply to me by mail, phone, Twitter, Facebook or the tool you feel comfortable with. I am doing this for free as a part of my own training to be a facilitator for helping people to know their values and visions.

Collaboration with inspiring people

This morning started with a meeting in Norrtälje with Coompanion Roslagen who hired me for an inspirational coaching related to Social media.

It was absolutely amazing to discuss social media with the team who had a very diversified background and this is optimal for creative collaboration.

2012 is the United Nations International Year of Co-operatives which I suggested they should use in their marketing for reaching out to people.

I showed them also the Facebook group Kim Garst started and I learn so much from. There are a lot of amazing people in the group and you can visit Pinterest to find their pages.

The next meeting was a start up for Referrals for Life the Certified Networker Programme I have joined for creating more business to my customers.

We are 21 persons who will be trained during 10 weeks. The 5 hours I spent today is the most efficient networking hours so far and I am looking forward to the next meeting.

The programme is created from BNI’s (Business Network International) most successful teams and how they are networking with Referral Marketing.

Our team consists of professional networkers who are dedicated to be the best and this is exactly what I mean with collaborate with the most inspiring people.

Are you Creative and can Create something New?

How do you create something new?

Today there are very many who write about how to do, but very few do it themselves or have the ability to come up with something new.

It’s like Twitter, where most follow someone else and retweet what others have written. Almost all articles and newsletters also refers to what someone else already have come up with.

Everything seems to be to copy, modify a bit and present as their own, which is unnecessary and time consuming. What if there was intelligent search tool that brought out what is unique much faster, and presented it in a good way.

To create creative renewal need strong leaders and individuals who want and dare to think and do something new instead of following someone else. Here you will enter and all people can take a leadership over their own thoughts and ideas.

So what is authentic and unique?
In my opinion, it is when someone assumes herself and adds something new from their own experiences. The basis for this often come from a variety of sources and contexts. Essential for success is that you are aware of your personal values and visions.

When it comes to innovation work, it is almost impossible to re-connect to all sources, since the best ideas often come intuitively and not logically. This is in my opinion, one of the biggest obstacles that so few ideas are implemented.

Why is this so important to know?
To succeed in implementing the ideas they need to be clarified and presented so that they can contribute to the introduction of them, they presented very well and understand the purpose. Here defects too often and it will never start a dialogue.

Anyone who is genuine and unique is instead often seen as odd and ideas are treated accordingly. Clear leadership and an innovative corporate culture that appreciates that we are authentic and unique leads automatically to creative renewal.

What can you do to influence?
We are certainly many people who have been told that it is impossible or that it has been tested before, but that it was possible to do and then it stops completely and we will return to everyday life again. Here I would say that everything begins.

Find out all the facts is necessary and make sure you have a sound basis. A good start is to have several who want to participate and you can develop the idea with. Then, for the sale of it and if you can show in a realistic and expected result is half the job done.
You may have to do everything in your spare time and do not earn anything in the beginning then it is important that you are really passionate about it and work hard. The result will be and even if you do not succeed in implementing it, you have learned a lot and come a step further on your own development.

Good Luck!

Lycka Till!

Social media blog friends it´s about You

Social Media is about Collaboration

If you want to be successful in Social media you need to connect with people and do it regularely on a personal level.

My Klout score and peer index have had a remarkable increase during the last couple of weeks. This is only achieved thanks to a close collaboration with people who are dedicated to help each other to follow our dreams with passion.

Take some time and connect with my friends and leave comments and start up conversation through their blogs. I will continue to share my friends blogs. Pinterest is a Great tool for this and it gives a quick picture overview.

Special Thanks to Kim Garst who started and run the Facebook group where we collaborate every day. Susan Preston is also moderating our team.

Vill du synas mer i sociala medier?

All in One tools for creative work with Social media

It’s frustrating to talk about how to use new tools in Social media while I am  spending several hours without working smarter. It’s great with links between Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ with help of a Publish Sync app. But this is not enough for keeping track of the flow and reply within fair time.

Here are some tools that I am using and testing for improved collaboration. The feeling of schizophrenia and that I have to clone myself by dividing time  between LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Klout and now also Empire Avenue is something which have occupied my creative mind for a while.

I want to be a part of proactive discussions between the social media experts.

It’s also very important to know the customers needs for using Social media. There can be new opportunities but only if we communicate the benefits and provide with some good examples about how to work with at least the three most common tools as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter at the same time.

Yoono a quick overview of a tool which is very easy to start using…

Hootsuite is an excellent tool with several options for analyze and control. You can add apps. for following your top contributors etc. and create reports.
